Here’s how:
- Keep it real. Being prepared with notes and topic discussion points can be helpful, but avoid being overly scripted. And whatever you do, don’t read your responses.
- Set the mood. To avoid stage fright, get comfortable with your host before you go live by reviewing your discussion points. When on-air guests get a little nervous, it’s common to hear a few too many “ums” or speak too quickly. Be mindful of your breathing to help you slow down.
