Chris Cronin is the Co-Founder and CMO of Kitanica, a US manufacturer of outdoor clothing and gear with unrivaled function, fit, and durability.

Their hugely popular outdoor products have been used by the CIA, US Marshalls Office, Special Operations Teams, and Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters, including Jumanji and Fast and Furious, where the Rock donned their pants.

Numbers-wise, they have 20+ full-time employees and $1M+ annual revenues.

A recent Kickstarter campaign by Kitanica to raise funds for the production of a full-service lumbar waist pack that can carry gear for any outdoor excursion was fully funded in under five hours and raised $123,295 in 40 days. Kitanica’s goal of acquiring new customers through Kickstarter was accomplished as 38% of the 1000+ campaign backers were first-time buyers.

Chris has 25+ years of experience in the outdoor clothing and gear industry. He started Kitanica with his brother Beej Cronin and cousin Leonard Riccio in 1995. That same year, the trio developed the Kitanica Mark IV jacket, which featured a zippered front with four buckles, asymmetrical pouch-style pockets, articulated padding, and a tall collar.

Its aggressive design caught the attention of TV presenter Adam Savage, who often wore the jacket while filming Discovery Channel’s Mythbusters episodes. This made the remarkably distinctive utilitarian products Kitanica was manufacturing more widely known.
