Your brain is either your biggest competitive advantage or your biggest blind spot.

In this episode of Coffee with Jon, I am talking to John Wierenga & Dr. Timothy Royer with Inner Armor - we dive into the science of resilience, peak performance, and how training your brain can unlock potential you didn't know you had.

---

With nearly a decade of experience in M&A, consulting, and project advisory, I have developed a passion for unlocking human potential and health through innovative solutions.

As the CEO and Co-Founder of Inner Armor, I am dedicated to transforming the way individuals approach resilience and performance.

At Inner Armor, we leverage the power of biofeedback and neurofeedback to empower people—whether athletes, students, or professionals—to master their autonomic nervous systems (fight/flight vs. rest/digest). Our mission is to make these transformative practices accessible to everyone, pummeling traditional barriers in the industry which have kept the power of these techniques limited far too long!!

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with diverse organizations and high-achievers on strategic initiatives that drive growth and innovation. This experience has shaped my understanding of the challenges faced by individuals striving for excellence, recognizing how signs of imbalance, stress, and lack of resilience lead to last of productivity, frustration, and ultimately burnout. Not only do people not prioritize their health, but often they do not know where to start. This has fueled my desire to create a platform that supports personal development and well-being by going upstream to train the brain-body connection.

At Inner Armor, we introduce our clients to measured mindfulness, where biofeedback acts as a real-time coach. This approach accelerates learning and helps individuals reduce anxiety, enhance recovery, and build resilience to navigate life’s challenges. Our foundation is built on decades of research and over 35 years of experience.

I believe that everyone has the potential to elevate their performance and resilience! My goal is to inspire others to embrace these techniques and transform their lives, and build the tools/technology to make this potential a reality! I am excited about the impact we can make together at Inner Armor. Our team has 35+ years of experience and expertise in enhancing resilience and performance by optimizing the autonomic nervous system (ANS). We work alongside clients to provide them key baseline data, biofeedback training, and educational materials to help them build resilience and perform at their potential. ---- Dr. Timothy Royer is a neuro psychologist with over 30 years of experience, 25 of which are in peak performance for elite athletes and executives who are looking to unlock their brain’s potential to stay ahead and be present.
