Mathematical, not magical.

That's how Mike Todasco, former Head of Innovation at PayPal, describes AI.

Ask it the same question ten times, get ten different answers.

3 takeaways from our conversation:

1, Ask it how to use it.
Sounds obvious. Almost nobody does it. "Talk to me like a kindergartner, walk me through step one." We'd ask that of a new hire. We freeze up asking a chatbot.

2. Set custom instructions.
Tell it who you are. Tell it not to be sycophantic. Make it a tool, not a friend.

3. Ask it to lie to you sometimes.
Keeps you sharp. Keeps you questioning the answer instead of swallowing it whole.

Use the tool. Don't become the tool.
