Annemarie Johnson is a national presenter, staff developer, and literacy coach. In addition to supporting K-8 literacy teachers in public and private schools across the U.S., she also works as a seminar instructor for the Bureau of Education and Research (BER). She also served as a trainer for Lucy Calkins at Columbia University’s Teachers College Reading and Writing Project for 7 years, an adjunct instructor for Ashland University (Ohio) for 6 years, and as an elementary classroom teacher and literacy leader in urban and suburban schools for 15 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Grove City College and a master’s in Reading Supervision from the University of Akron.
