How to Think Like a CEO: Does Your Company Have Transparency?

Surprises can be fun—for birthdays. They aren’t as fun when it comes to our businesses, however. If we plan to grow our businesses to unforeseen heights, we cannot be caught off guard. Ever.

To ensure our businesses are operating without surprises, every CEO-minded person must answer these questions:

• Does my company have complete transparency?
• Does everyone in my company know how they are measured and what measurements grow the company?
• Is everyone compensated appropriately?

Every one of these questions feeds off of the first one, with the key being transparency. If there is transparency within the walls of your businesses, surprises will not happen.

Take five minutes of executive time, every day for ten days, to answer these questions. Each day, push yourself to implement your plan and take action!
