I talk a lot about things in we do in business that compounds. Really anything we do in life compounds over time. Whether it’s good or bad. The positive compounds the negative compounds. The negative turns to bad things, the good turns into really good things. This graph illustrates this power. So basically if I were to ask you, I will give you a million dollars today or a penny that doubles every day for the next 30 days and you’ll get it on the 31st day, what would you do? Most people say, I’ll take the million bucks because they don’t think that a penny doubling every day can equate to a lot of money. But as this graph shows, it actually becomes $10.7 million. So when you are procrastinating or becoming lazy in your business, just remember that if you do a little every day, it compounds every day, it compounds every single day. Make sure you’re doing at least a little business development every day; make sure you’re doing something to move your business forward every day because the compound effect of it is extraordinary. Side Note: “The Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy is one of my all-time favorite books and has been a Tip of the Day before, but I am going to mention it again.
