I want everybody to answer this question. Are you complacent or are you growing? As business people, we should always be in a forward-movement motion. This anecdote makes sure we don’t fall into a trap. The boiling frog is an anecdote describing a frog slowly being boiled alive. The premise is that if a frog is put suddenly into boiling water, it will jump right out. But if is put into cold water, which is then brought to a boil slowly, it will not perceive the danger and be cooked to death. Granted, not a pleasant story but it happens to a lot of business people, and it happens all the time. You’re not realizing the perceived danger around you, the lack of culture, the unhappy employees, the clientele not happy with your level of service and the experience they’re having with your company. I am seeing business people ignoring these things because they don’t recognize that they are the problem. I am going to push you to think about your business in a different way, in a more proactive way – internally and externally. Think about where you want your business three years from now. And don’t boil yourself to death. Have an amazing day and always, Think Big!
