Jon talks with Rabbi Aaron Starr, Reverend Kimi Riegel and Father Chris Yaw about how to tap into our faith and spirituality during the COVID-19 crisis.
Rabbi Aaron Starr is a rabbinic fellow of the Shalom Hartman Institute’s Rabbinic Leadership Initiative, and serves as Congregation Shaarey Zedek’s spiritual leader. He is a gifted orator who savors the rich opportunities to inspire and teach at the bimah. He has been a part of the Shaarey Zedek family since 2008, and is a past president of the Rabbinical Assembly-Michigan Region and of the Metropolitan Detroit Board of Jewish Educators. He has played prominent roles in Jewish governance worldwide, and is a celebrated author who frequently writes for the Times of Israel and Detroit Jewish News.
Reverend Kimi Riegel is a life long Unitarian Universalist. She has been in the ministry for 27 years. She serves the Northwest Unitarian Universalist church of Southfield Michigan. Kimi is a wife, mother and most recently grandmother.
Father Chris Shaw serves as a shepherd in a medium size Episcopal congregation marked by modest growth and innovative programming, while starting and selling an online education company, and assuming leadership positions on numerous charitable boards and committees in the diocese and beyond.
